Nursery transformation has begun...

We have officially started to convert the old computer room to a nursery for Baby Laz. We sold the desks we each had and bought a cute sleek corner unit for downstairs in the living room. We went through the room and took a lot to Goodwill. Anything we kept has been put into storage.

First step was repainting, which of course Mr. Laz took care of ;-) We hadn't painted when we moved in b/c we always knew it would be a nursery eventually. The old color was a deep periwinkle blue shade and it had been put on pretty sloppy in the corners etc.

BEFORE:

We wanted to keep the walls neutral so as our baby grows up and forms their own opinion about the room, changing the look of the room is so much easier. We went with our old standby, Sandstone Cove by Behr, which covers about 80% of the walls in our house. It's the perfect shade of taupe-khaki, not too grey, not too tan. And when paired with a bright white ceiling and trim, it just makes everything in the room around it pop.

AFTER:

We have left the twin bed in there for now but will be moving it out shortly. Even though it would be nice to have it around it just takes up too much wall space in a small room.
